I thought I could get a pikachu with transform in Silver by teaching it mimic, then bringing a ditto and something to paralyze, and fighting a Smergle, and using a precise sequence of when it got paralyzed, get my target of a Pikachu with transform
The plan was simple:
1. Paralyzer and Smergle pop out
2. Paralyzer paralyzes Smergle, Smergle gets paralyzed so he can't do a thing.
3. Swap for Ditto, Smergle gets paralyzed again
4. Transform, in this case I want Smergle NOT to be paralyzed so it uses Sketch
5. Switch out pikachu with mimic, Smergle gets paralyzed again
6. Since the last move Smergle uses was Sketch, Pikachu uses mimic and gains Sketch. Now I want Smergle to use transform
7. Now have Pikachu Sketch Transform. Now my female Pikachu can transform into a human and be my gf
I was actually able to pull this off but if I recall correctly the game's code told me to fuck off and reverted Pikachu's Transform into mimic
11 year old me was vastly disappointed
