Yanmega, Tangrowth, Lickilicky, Ambipom, and Mamoswine were included in the dex, so barring them from the Hoenn dex, which would likely be included in the Hoenn dex redone? The ones with evolves available in Hoenn; Frosslass, Rhyperior, Dusknoir, Gallade, Magnezone, Probopass, Budew, and Roserade.
I can see Frosslass, Gallade, Roserade, and Dusknoir in the dex. Roxanne can have a Probopass post Elite 4 in rematches whereas Wattson could have a Magnezone too. Oh, and the Elite 4 Pokemon would get a rehaul just how HGSS was redone in a way. Perhaps the first time you fight the Elite 4, it would be their original setups and on the next rematches continuing on up, Phoebe would have Dusknoir, Glacia having Froslass and Glaceon, and etc. What Pokemon set up would you see the gym leaders and elite 4 having? What about Wally? It could fix the whole Gardevoir being male thing now. Or he could have both Gardevoir and Gallade.
