>>51372070A quick update, since Diamond/Pearl are really spaced out between Gyms #2 & #3. I've elected to swap out Sigrun (Staravia) for Erebus the Murkrow. This is both because Murkrow is a fun version exclusive and to conserve Staraptor for a future run when I need it. We've also swapped out Bob (Bibarel) for Aegis the Bronzor for the time being; unsure if they or Oracle will be my Psychic-type, since Aegis has Heatproof instead of Levitate (less useful as a Garchomp counter).
>>51388691Team I'd recommend is Typhlosion, Heracross, Gyarados, Golem, Crobat, and Lanturn (assuming you don't get Magnemite). Gyarados is just super OP in general, so definitely the best Water-type. Golem is unironically one of the best Pokemon in the game, and counters most fights in the game. If Trade Evos are off the table though, Steelix is fine. Having an Electric move is also recommended vs. Lance too, so if the Magnemite well is dry, it's fine to double up on Water to counter his Flying-types with Thunderbolt.
>>51386900Only problem with Meditite is that it takes a super long time to evolve, and I have to wait until 29 to get a Physical STAB. We're almost there though. Maybe worth using it as my Psychic-type over Bronzor.
>>51386510Based Koffing enjoyer. And yeah, I've got a very atypical Sinnoh team going, especially now that I've subbed out Staravia. Only Sinnoh-staples here are Shellos and Budew. Pretty excited to see how this shakes out!
>>51375676Thanks, congrats to your success as well! Bob's been subbed out for Aegis for the time-being, but now I'm actually wondering if I should keep Oracle around. Just a bit of an investment, but so is Bronzor I guess. Though given my banned Champion's Clause list, the next few Routes are gonna be a real encounter drought.
