So things have been wild since my last post. Snowpoint went down way easier than I thought - I had thought Froslass was Candace's ace, but it turns out she not only NOT had that, but she had a Medicham as well. Really threw my game off since I had been saving Poseidon for that, but Phoebos was able to help control the weather for the first half of the fight and everyone on the team was able to help out.
But the next part of the game, holy crap. So I had to go through Mt Coronet with a team of five to make room for my HM Slave Machoke, leaving Phoebos in the box. The levels of even the Galactic grunts were getting higher and higher, and there were a few scares I had with critical hits - Phoebos at one point dropped to 6 HP, which was scary.
I won't bore people with all the details but the most stressful portion was definitely the double Galactic Admin fight. Going in, I had the idea to focus on one at a time - starting with Jupiter because I wanted that Skuntank gone. But my rival was the real MVP of the fight - Munchlax was paralyzing with Body Slam nonstop, and got a CRITICAL HIT nearly taking out Skuntank on his own. I was sure I would lose a monster here, but it turned out to be fairly smooth. Talos was once again a huge help.
Then was Cyrus. Oh man, I was scared about this, starting to feel underleveled. Had a really bad start where Astonish flinched me twice, and I thought it was all over when his Gyarados outsped Xander. But than the freaking lord, Xander was able to tank an EQ from Gyarados after the Intimidate and take it out with a Critical hit. Following that, Poseidon was able to safely take down Palkia (I had already caught Noctowl and have two Palkias on my Platinum cart, haha).
