I'd be happy if t looked the same as x/y and oras. they wouldn't have to update the story or add anything aside from newer features from x/y. It would be FR/LG which I heard were fantastic just playable on the 3DS.
"But OP, why not just play FR/LG?" Because after playing ORAS, they look like ass in comparison and are way too slow, plus they could incorporate the new pokemon.
Let's face it, if they did ANOTHER remake of R/B/G/Y it would suck. Look at how much ORAS knda sucked? It was basically a port with mega evolution shoved down our throats (aside from Delta Episode). But if they released it fully telling us it was a re-hash and not a remake, just the sam exact game only updated, I think it would be more successful.
The reason why ORAS doesn't work as well as a remake is because they built it up as a whole new game and experience, not to mention adding new features and stories that just end up falling short (like the Delta Episode, also called "hold your hand storytime."
A remake would go down the same path. They would shove more megas in our face, would change things unneccessarily (like Mauville) and just dumb it down way too much.
If they just updated the graphics and put in the dexnav features, it'd be good.
