What I don't know is if they would use Pokemon as their 3 guardians or create human characters, each being the trainer of those Pokemon, the first option creates a closer bond with the player, but forces you to use 3 specific Pokemon within your team, and the second option makes your character lose some prominence, but gives you freedom to make your own team.
