These trials got hands.
Totem Lurantis never attacked aside from turn one. The rest of the battle it tried to heal back the damage it got from Acrobatics. The AI gave me a break and Castform did not go for Sunny Day until Kee finally killed Lurantis. With Kee now on low health (it got 3 headbutts, one was a crit), I send in Yache on a Headbutt. Fake out + Bite leave it on 50%, but Weather Ball hits hard! I send in Petaya on the 2nd and final Weather Ball while Sun goes down. Petaya lives on 8hp! After quickly looking up how much hp Castform would have, I mean debating for a bit, Petaya goes for Dragon Rage. Petaya outspeeds and finishes the battle.
I'm using Poké Refresh and these extra xp points make it hard as fuck to stay below cap. That said, I am enjoying this 'new team for each trial' type gameplay. I usually have more deaths at this point lmao. I havent seen a lot of 'YOUR POKEMON LIVED ON ONE' type shit, aside from Custap lucking out in every wild encounter and Kee dodging Parasect's Spore.
I think I'm going to evolve Razz into a Midnight form, I'd prefer a bit of extra bulk over speed. Especially in this slow ass generation. What do you guys think?
