>Alot of the pokemon that can be found there are not apart of the Sinnoh regional dex so I assume its just a colony that belongs to Sinnoh.The area originally had more Sinnohmons, but settlers from the southern regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn) brought Pokémon from their hometowns over during the colonization period. They've strangely become invasive on the island in a way unseen in Sinnoh. It might be because of some climate manipulation fuckery making it more suitable for those Pokémon, since the area originally had a climate similar to the Snowpoint region before some legendary messed shit up.
