this does have potential, but it's a pretty rough first draft.
for one - ignoring anything else about the game - you really should not be having things like

>>55715223. it's fine to have some broken events, tiles and softlocks, i don't expect perfection ever from these games especially an early demo like this, but this really should not be happening in mandatory plot events or things that are very easily noticeable. that tells me this game was probably not playtested to a certain extent, but it also tells me the maker is not the most experienced, which makes the ambition of a 18 gym game seem...dubious.
other than that, and some instances of pretty meh mapping and the writing being...what it is, it's okay for an early attempt. the creator clearly got/is getting better over time in terms of mapping and fight designs (especially after that absolutely atrocious first boss fight with the fucking lilligant holy FUCKING shit please neuter that garbage please). there are clearly things that need to be improved later on, specifically things that need to be looked back on, such as the starting towns/routes being pretty barren. also, i'm really not sure how this game is going to work without field effects, it just seems too long without much of a real 'hook' beyond a very vaguely implemented regional form system, and i think the first gym with the crustle was trying to do some weird bullshit that didn't really pan out. you can tell the dev basically wants to include field effects anyways. might be an issue that he can't get them to work.
do kind of hope the game tries to go for a more charming/funny side of dialogue than le SERIOUS BIZNESS WE NEED TO DISCUSS REAL GEOPOLITICAL PROBLEMS IN THE CONTEXT OF A POKEMON GAME, but that will remain to be seen.
too early to rate, but i'd at least say it's better than rosen and myth even if it was probably more buggy and broken than both
