Although "Miette's potential as love interest" and "Ash never interacting with Lana's mom" seem like some weirdly specific shipperific regrets.
The worst, I think, are art style for SM and accomplished nothing on Kalos for XY. I'd also specify that Ash and Greninja don't get any special world-saving part in the Flare finale, despite the buildup and the mythological backstory for Greninja's transformation. On SM, I would remove "boring villainous arc without stakes" - Aether stuff was not bad (certainly surprised me by the sheer number of UB/legendary encounters), and Team Skull was never supposed to have much stakes in the first place - though Guzma being the final opponent instead of Gladion could have been awesome.
