>>43018352>typing out a huge ass post>mfw you basically post it first, down to most of the best and worst of the dex being mostly the same and the problems with all the non-pokemon feeling gimmickswell, if there's one thing I can add, Its that even the Pokemon I do like form it feel disticntly not like Pokemon. The ideas are there, but a lot of them fail to tie back into the base animal or theme in a clever way, which is surprising considering you had the same problems with Gen 8's dex. WHY does the borzoi skim across the water? Do borzoi's have any particular connection with swimming? WHY is the bobcat electric? Do they live in area where lightning strikes are common? WHY does the jellyfish look like a nose? Are they linked with the common cold cold or sickness in any way? This is a trap that Pokemon has fallen into itself more than often, I'll admit, but it feels like the entire dex is like this. There's just not enough there honestly.
