Look at the more mediocre ones like Tyrantrum or Dargalge, their better attributes are their other types and ability, not Dragon. Look at Druddigon, that poor thing is nearly worthless, Dragon doesn't help it at all. Shit, the best Dragons in the game, Ray and Mance, don't even use Dragon moves.
Fairy is simply put, not weak to the right things nor enough of them. Maybe if Aegis was still around they would be more managable, but people seem to prefer PINK BLOBS: THE META.
