>>38087422Thanks! Clefable used to be a pokemon I just hated without giving it any thought, but when I was replaying Leaf Green a year or two ago it quickly grew to become a valuable asset to my team with cosmic power, counter and softboiled. While it was still a Clefairy because I had no stones, it was still a juggernaut in battle when it could be, even PP stalling out both Gengars in the Kanto E4 just because they couldn't touch her. This was actually a Nuzlocke Run, and my final team of survivors was my Venusaur, Vaporeon, Moltres (I somehow didn't manage to encounter anything on the volcano so it was legit, though it still missed everything because blind bird) and the Clefairy. The fact that it managed to survive against all odds when others like Marowak and Rhydon died was enough for me to consider it far more than I thought it would be.
She's the only one I've gotten every single ribbon on in the games, too. Even the contest ones and the Battle Factory ones, which were a pain to accomplish since I don't have anyone else with the older gen games to do the poffins with. She even managed to solo Palmer’s entire team (the Rhyperior/Dragonite/Milotic one), despite my Bronzong and Venusaur getting dominated by him, simply because he literally couldn’t hurt her. He didn’t land a single crit. And this was the gen before Eviolite, so Palmer must have been feeling like a total joke.
