They stated without having grass weaknesses and typing. So basically getting to stay fairy which is literally the best type defensively, while also gaining resistance to electric, grass, water, and ground for free. Also getting Grass STABs and powder immunity. So its all the perks of being grass without any of the faults. Its a huge middle finger to all the grass and dual-grass types that have to put up with 7 weaknesses.
And if its like you're saying just making it be a grass type, why not just change it to be dual fairy-grass type instead of wasting it's ability slot for typing?
