Muk and Meganium are basically opposites.
Muk is the embodiment of poison and pollution, with a foul stench that no one wants to be around. Meganium can heal dead/dying plants, and calms those around them with their aroma. I really love the contrast between them.
As for individually, i always felt that Muk would appreciate you more for being a friend. Meganium just seems serene and huggable.
