>>47866283I don't think that's a fault of Colosseum/Stadium specifically, but more of a fault of the Pokemon formula. Nowadays, I can't play any turn based Pokemon game without turbo mode, because the gameplay inevitably boils down to just "switch to a Pokemon that has a super effective move against your target and one shot/two shot the target and use a hyper potion when needed". So I just wind up fast forwarding through battles. Colosseum was more fun because of the double battles and the limited variety of Pokemon and you couldn't continuously grind Pokebucks to buy potions, so there was actual tension in the battles IMO. The anticipation of seeing Evice's Machop use Earthquake, and watching the HP pools of your Pokemon go down was nervewracking.
