Second, when you were younger, before you grinded like a mad man all the time/knew all the tricks of the trade in Pokemon, did you ever get to a gym and notice "The gym leader's Pokemon are, like, 10 levels above mine. What do I do?" You train like you said. And this would make sense.
Except that there are no trainers anywhere around that you haven't already beat, so now you have to just train against wild 'mons for hours on end. Wild Pokemon that, mind you, are 10 levels below yours. So you're stuck in, like, Goldenrod, for example for a long time because grinding is fucking stupid.
Don't get me wrong, I love Pokemon. I have no idea why, but I think it's because of the game's atmosphere and cute characters. I hate EVERY other JRPG. I hate grinding.
How does someone actually LIKE grinding. I mean, you don't have to hate it like I do, but... Liking it? It's literally "tap A over and over to gain experience."
