Why the fuck is everyone acting like Ash/Serena is canon? The writers will never make Ash return a female traveling companion's affections. And sure, she may like him, but you're all acting like he's never even interacted with a girl before and this is somehow "different" or "special." It isn't. He doesn't care about her any more than he cares about a character of the day at this point.
