Cyndaquil slowly edges itself towards you, and starts sniffing your shoes and jeans. He appears tense at first, but slowly loosens up, clearly taking a liking to you.
But before the two of you can interact any further, Betty calls out to you.
"Hey Alex!"
"What?"
"Well the both of us just got our starter Pokemon, so I say we have a battle right here right now." Betty challenges.
"Do I have a choice?"
"Not really."
You're going to have your first Pokemon battle.
