They're so COOL and they all have some very fresh ideas and inspired designs. People try to complain about how they "don't look like Pokémon", which is the point, obviously, and I really think the Pokémon designers did a really good job of communicating the idea

There's such VARIATION in the designs, too. With some of them like Xurkitree, most of the appeal isn't necessarily in the design, it's mostly in the personality and the alien way in which it moves. Naganadel's a cool Metroid space dragon. Stakataka's a hive mind. Niheligo is all sorts of weird. The concept of Buzzwole being a mosquito who sucks blood and then uses that blood to give itself super muscles is uniquely creative. I genuinely love them and think Game Freak did a fantastic job with them.
