This seriously sounds like nostalgia blinding you.
The pokemon in the original did way less.
What even is the issue with how course routes change too? You level up a course to 3 (2 if night) and see if that unlocks the route, if not you gotta just experiment yourself.
It's fucking simple, I genuinely can't see whats wrong with it, outside of levelling being annoying on occasion, but even that's minor.
Missions are broken as fuck though. It needs a patch. Diamond stars also dont show up right when being compared to new photos. Instead showing as Silver.
