The current animations just look like Unity assets using the built-in animation tools.
>>54724519That's an insult to PS2 games. They were designed with their limitations in mind, even on N64 games like OOT the devs used tricks to make Hyrule Field seem much bigger than it really was despite such limited technology.
SV's open world is like an amateur project by a self-taught programmer with no experience with graphics.
As always, I also point to Dragon Quest, a series that many people said could never be as good in 3D as it was in 2D, but actually look even better because the artists and programmers know what they're doing.
