The problem with the Erika accessories is that you have to first purchase pokegold then buy it using that. It's an annoying extra step. Compare that to the Gardevoir accessories where you get everything contained in one simple package AND you get a little bit of pokegold as a bonus.
Accessories going forward need to take the Garde approach and I guarantee more people would buy because it would be a simpler process.
