>>51494472Lance’s battle was nerve-wracking. I took out his Gyarados easily with Collar but then he went into Aerodactyl. I knew he had Earthquake but I didn’t want Hydroise to take damage because I’d be relying heavily on him. To my astonishment Collar outsped even Aerodactyl and got a two hit kill. From there Hydroise took care of the twin Dragonites, eating their attacks for breakfast and, again to my surprise, outsped them. Laxative took care of the Kingdra in a Hyper Beam trade off.
Finally, Flydra easily took care of Blue’s Heracross, prompting his Tyranitar. Again I went into Bubbulk thinking I walled him but got hit in the face by Thunder. Laxative takes out Tyranitar and Alakazam with Brick Break/Shadow Ball. But then he went into Gyarados. Laxative was already tired and I couldn’t risk Collar eating an Earthquake so I switched in Bubbulk as a sacrifice. To my surprise he sets up a Dragon Dance. I use Bubbulk’s last turn to heal Laxative with a Max Potion, she then dies to Earthquake.
I go back into Laxative because Collar will certainly won’t outspeed now and use Yawn while he continues Dragon Dancing.
At this point I just have to hope Gyarados stays asleep while Collar switches in and attacks. Miraculously it does, but I most likely would’ve lost otherwise.
Next he goes into Venusaur, setting up Sunny Day while I Thunder Wave. I don’t want to go into Flydra and take a Solarbeam as he’s 10 levels higher, so I try stalling out the Sun with Sand Attack. But then he oneshots Collar with an Earthquake. From there I clean up easily with Flydra and Hydroise together, but I’m still upset that I got Collar killed with a bad decision.
Picrel is my final result. Kudos to everyone for what was ultimately a very clean run.
