welp, I died
>Hitmonlee
killed by Koffing’s Self-Destruct
>Farfetch’d
killed by an Electrode’s Spark (possibly a critical hit, idr). I didn’t have a safe switch-in.
>Gyarados
killed by another Electrode’s Spark. again, no safe switch-in due to not having a rock/ground type. I would have survived but it was a critical hit.
The only party Pokémon left were Poliwag (who I can’t use because it was killed; I didn’t feel like going back to a PC to release it) and a level 6 Pidgey (HM02 Fly slave). The run is dead but it was fun while it lasted. I learned a couple of important things as well.
>rock/ground typing is VERY GOOD in Kanto; it completely walls ALL normal, flying, electric, fire, and poison types, and most of the early bug encounters
>critical hits WILL kill your Pokémon and there’s NOTHING you can do about it
Thanks for all the advice, /nuz/ but I think I’m gonna take a break from challenge runs for the moment. I finally hacked my 3DS last night so I guess I’m gonna go play some casual White2.
