Ash canonically love the Alola region more than any other he's visited and always says he wants to return after he leaves it. Also it's the only region where he calls the main cast family. Ash and Gou are two peas in a pod and hit it off almost immediately and only become closer by the episode and we aren't even close to done with the series yet.
