Genie is too crowded and restrictive and they paywalled in-person event raids to their premium subscription last year, so fuck them. I was inviting anons to Osaka and New Yawk City to megafug, for free.
Though it's still good to have Genie installed for its raid sim feature, it's handy to estimate your odds of success in raids.
Unless you spoof, then you simply don't care. Throw Pidgeys at 5* raids and still win.
