I've ALWAYS loved mermaids, like since I was really little, I used to wrap blankets around my legs and pretend to be one on our trampoline/around the house/outside. Pokemon NEVER had a good mermaid mon until Gen7. Love the long hair, love the pearls, the starfish earphones, the singer/performer theme so it ties in a siren too. The design is just perfect. It's clever, unexpected, and unique. Then its typing is even better, it ties in my favorite type when I was a kid (water) and my favorite type now (fairy). Overall, I think Primarina was just a great design, period. I love designs that are unexpected and clever. I feel this way about Decidueye, too. His design is really clever and fun; especially turning himself into a bow and arrow.
