The only reserve Ash uses is Greninja vs Alain. Ash-Greninja returns for that fight. Animation is still bad. It literally only happens for fan closure and is not a very good battle. No IKU ZE.
The M8 battles aren't a straight arc. There's some filler between each.

For Serenafags her next return also involves Clemont and Bonnie. It ends with a scene with her and Ash alone pretty close and in silence before the camera pans up to the sky. No kiss though.

It's the series's end. The TRio eventually leaves the organization and makes peace with Ash and go run their radio again. There's a large celebration where everyone shows up.
Ash declares he'll still be pursuing the dream of "Pokemon master" but that people misunderstood it. Pokemon Master is not a specific goal. It is a lifelong journey.
