>>56289985Sun was the last Pokemon game I bought at launch. I was already becoming increasingly frustrated with the franchise since Gen 6, but the dex cut was what broke the camel's back for me. It was less about having all the Pokemon there and more about Gamefreak finding even more ways to cut corners and half-ass things. Home being $16 fucking dollars over Bank's $5 (which was already too much to store literal kilobytes of data) felt like Gamefreak pissing in my face. What sealed the deal was watching the fanbase not only accept this bullshit, but actually defend getting fucked in the ass.
I knew that things would only get worse, and lo and behold, they did. BDSP might be the laziest and most blatant cash-grab game in this franchise (which is impressive when USUM exists) and Scat and Vomit are buggier than JP Red and Green. And they STILL can't stop cutting corners; SV are the first mainline games without a battle facility of any kind. Emerald has fucking 8 (ocho) of them. I just stick to the old games and showdown. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who still defends this franchise deserves whatever buggy, broken, half-cooked slop Gamefreak tosses their way.
