I made it using the emerald decomp since it looked like the easiest, but I never knew about RPG maker and am starting to get cold feet now that I found out about it
I'm halfway through debugging the new moves in assembly at the moment which isn't too bad for me, but my grand idea for the hack is one where you start at a location you pick with a large interconnected world
Don't really need much scripting outside of battle besides a system that changes the available mons per route based on progression (user can change this at will as well)
Would you recommend a switch to Essentials?
I'm no artist though, so I'm not even sure how I'd make the world look half decent besides using existing assets
