>>41432605Because GameFreak's target audience
actually fucking likes the baby tier games, as evidenced by the record breaking sales. They're the type to drop a game at the slightest inconvenience, which is why the latest entries have been super streamlined. They aren't big on difficulty or exploring; they literally just want to look at their cute pokemon in battle or in camp or whatever. They blitz through the game and that's
fun for them. GameFreak doesn't actively pander to the hardcore gaming crowds because those fucks will buy it anyway and usually be content with their purchase.
The reason why
>lmao what did you expect it's pokemonis a response is because it's always been this way, it's just been getting more and more noticeable in the most recent entries. The campaign has always been baby proof, and the main appeal has always been that anyone could get into it, and trade and fight each other with cute monsters. Deeper, more rewarding single player RPG experiences have always existed, and you should fucking play those instead of thinking GF will ever stop pandering to the hyper casuals because that will never fucking happen. That's just what Pokemon's niche in the gaming world is, and nothing will ever change that.
