>>54133916>why does it have to eat solgaleo or lunala specifically. would ampharos or magcargo or something not sufficeSolgaleo and Lunala basically radiate light - you see it when they sue their signature moves. They're basically giant batteries, and normal Pokemon wouldn't really generate the kind of energy Necrozma needs.
>why does eating solgaleo (which did not exist 10 minutes prior) make poni island go black but not anywhere else. is there a different sun for each islandThe sky goign balck has nothing to do with Solgaleo and Lunala and everything to do with Necrozma showing up on the island. He literally eats the light in the area he's occupying, so anywhere he goes, the darkness follows. Again, you see this when using his signature Z-Move - everything goes black as he eats all the light, then spits it back out as an attack in 'The Light That Burns the Sky'.
>why does necrozma only transform at the faggot tower. what was stopping it from doing that earlierFrom a gameplay perspective, what
>>54133945 says: Presentation. In-universe, it presumably takes a bit of time for him to drain enough light out of his new host to facilitate his reversion to Ultra Necrozma, hence why he retreats through that wormhole in the first place.
>>54133907The design itself isn't too horrible, really - with just a few tweaks, it would look just fine. They should have played up the Wyvern elements a bit more - have it land on the ground and go quadrupedal with its wings folded up like a bat's, and make it fly up and go horizontal with its talons raked forward a bit like Braviary when attacking instead of having it stand awkwardly upright all the time. Having a human posture makes the flimsiness of the arms and wings much more glaring, and that head and neck design clearly weren't made with a bipedal creature in mind. Funnily enough, these corrections can be made without even editing the physical model - he just needs new animations.
