So what was with all the Marina references in DP? She's first shown on a magazine in the Poketch episode, and now this episode flat out shows her as a top coordinator doing an appeal with Feraligatr on Zoey's laptop? Did the writers originally intend to have her show up in the series later on? I honestly wonder if the whole Lyra arc would have never happened if Marina/Kris wasn't replaced in HGSS. I get the feeling Marina was supposed to appear and teach Dawn about Contests at some point but then they axed the idea.
