Sada/Turo took things a step further and specifically sought out dimensions that are, relatively/thematically speaking, in the far past or the far future.
Basically, imagine that ashnime episode where they met their alternate reality selves, except not only are they a different version of Ash & co but they're also wearing loincloths and speaking ungabunganese. Obviously, that's not our Ash, so it's not a time machine.
