Personally I pref the swoobat and gigalith lines to the geodudes and zubat lines we've seen in every single regional pokedex for over 20 years. BW trying something new and btfo'ing the old felt fresh.
Been around since gen 1 and gen 5 is easily the generation to introduce the most new favorite mons at once for me (top 5 from this gen: Volcarona, galvantula, serperior, mienshao, sigilyph)
