>A bit of a harsher criticism here, but I assure you it is still a fact, not an opinion, but I understand how one could be confused by it. You see, when judging a work, A LOT of subjectivity is involved. It is subjective to say “I like this work”, “I don’t like this work”, “This tastes good”, “This character is interesting”, “This picture is ugly”, etc. Those are all things left up to opinion. However, when I say “AmourShipping and its evidence more often than not develop nothing, teach nothing, and do nothing but service the fans”, we enter back into objective territory. Unlike “This is interesting” or “This tastes good”, my statement about AmourShipping is either true or false because of one major difference. It can be measured. We can look back at all of those AmourShipping moments and observe, measure, calculate whether they developed anything significant to the characters or plot. I submit to you that the answer is “No”, and this can be easily observed merely through popular opinion of the character Serena, as you will notice the majority opinion (while still not favoring her much) has gone up in more recent episodes, frequently citing development and progress. This perceived development and progress that we can deduce caused the majority opinion of her to lift has coincided with a recent “hint drought”. Indeed, you will find that the vast majority of AmourShipping hints occurred during some of Serena’s most lacking times of character development. This serves as sufficient proof that my above statement has credence to it. I’m sorry if it offends you. I do not mean to hurt anyone’s feelings. This is normally the kind of critique I try to keep under my hat. Nevertheless, as I stated, it is not an opinion. It is a fact.
