Besides, another anti-government group adopted the T-partiers' name and started capturing and storing the mutated Pokemon however they could in strategical locations so that they would unleash them on the population should a government be formed. In your 10th birthday, your father gifts you a Pokemon. You, who were always an adventurer at heart decides to venture beyond the city walls and find for yourself what the rest of the world is like. So you take your new Pokemon and sucessfully escape, meeting thiefs and mutated pokemon along the way.
Your initial goal was just to visit the ruins of Viridian City but as soon as you get there, someone tells you of a underground Pokemon League being formed. Your eyes glimmer with the opportunity of battling gym Leaders, earning badges and seeing new places, just like your grandfather once did.
