It is no secret that Shaymin and Jolthog are both based on hedgehogs. But they are completely different.
Shaymin has green eyes with eyebrows. Jolthog has black eyes without eyebrows. Shaymin has a green bush and a flower. Jolthog has yellow spikes and a large ear. Shaymin's nose is straight and only the tip is black. Jolthogs whole nose is black and slightly bent upwards. Shaymin has thin white feet. Jolthog has black clumsy feet. Et cetera.
Shaymin and Jolthog have more differences than Xatu and Tocotoco (which are both based on totem birds, but share the color for some reason, although green is a pretty rare color for totems).
