I got traded a shiny Kadabra with an Everstone the other day. I tried to remove it so I could trade it to another friend to actually evolve it, and the game gave me this message, which I assume shows up because I haven't actually gotten an Everstone myself in my playthrough. I tried swapping it with another item and it says the same.
I assume this is here to prevent people from getting items early or something like that?
