That's not going to be a nice shitshow to have
Mind you, I'm not saying they will but it makes much more financial sense to act like they performed a herculean task and patch compatibility for both gen 8 games using the (already paid for) assets from both than skip out on it to save a few measley bucks and have another Dexit-type shitshow on the media/news/social media/forums (and no, regardless of sales, you do NOT want your job scrutinized by negative attention twice in a row, especially when you're the weakest player in the room)
