Okay so here is what I found regarding chaining, and it is killing me.
Previously, when I reached my 40th chain, I kept resetting waiting for a shiny bush to appear, only it never did, and eventually the radar music faded away, and I was left with nothing but broken dreams.
Apparently no one is having this issue, so I don't know what happened there, but I decided to replicate it without doing any chains.
I activated the radar, and kept restarting the radar without going into any bushes, the same thing happened, eventually the music fades away, and your chain is broken.
This time is random, anywhere from 40 seconds to 2 minutes.
I tried going outside and not going outside the grass, doesn't matter.
Can someone verify it? Try it yourself, start the radar but don't go into bushes, just keep restarting the radar and see if your music fades away and the chain breaks.
If that's the case, this method is pretty brutal and unreliable, since you HAVE to land a shiny patch of grass on your 40th chain ASAP, or you're fucked.
Alternatively I guess you could go in any patch just to avoid the timer running out, and keeping the chain alive, but this is risky as you can fuck up and break your chain. Someone please test.
