Because Cherubane are so shy, they are rarely seen and highly sought after by collectors. Although this pokemon is very small, its size is deceptive! Cherubane feeds on large quantities of poison to build up an immunity to its natural predators. It uses the dazzling patterns on its back to confuse its opponents.
Cherubane's preference of drifting on the surface of warm waters occasionally cause them to become trapped in tide pools. If Cherubane is cut off from the ocean it forms a protective bubble around itself using its psychic energy and floats back to the sea.
Witnessing this voyage is said to be good luck. Because of this, it is an Alolan tradition to try and catch sight of Cherubane before an important event.
Cherubane can have the Toxic Mirror Ability, which no Pokemon has previously had. When a poison attack is used against Cherubane it gains the Poison typing and its opponent takes twice the damage that would have been dealt to Cherubane. Once activated, this ability can not be used again until Cherubane is switched out.
Tomorrow's reveal includes Cherubane, Minerowl, Alolan Persian, and Alolan Seaking as well as two trial captains named Lehua and Oleander and a totem battle against Crabrawler
