i played omega ruby when it came out and got the event shiny beldum. playing through the game with a second starter pokemon was novel and felt like a lot of fun, and i loved seeing the primal forms of the three cover legendaries. the Z episode or whateverthefuck was fun even though the NPC was cringe and weird. i remember the awe of seeing primal rayquaza for the first time, as well as deoxys. this game inspired me to shinyhunt kyogre, groudon, and rayquaza.
