>>56505603It's probably more that voice acting would balloon the budget because JP-only voice acting is a massive detriment to the sales of your game. You need a Dub or to be English-only and unless you're popping for that like Nintendo/DeNA with PokeMas, you won't see voice acting ever from a Game Freak game
But who knows, with Masuda gone the team seems more willing to try and expand their scope even if they aren't good at it. You'd think Game Freak would be desperate for talent to be able to handle making actual console games but they wanna remain the "we make Pokemon" clique so they don't branch out when they should
