>>43988757Teambuilding is a beast. It requires you to be not just cognizant of the meta but orchestrating a strategy that is both hard hitting or super impactful against enemies it counters yet still safe enough to run outside of those circumstances.
I was crafting a Shell Smash Blastoise team back in March with an Indeedee partner. The core was good but I also decided to bring Passimian, not just for Defiant against Intimidaters threatening the physical offense partners but also to dissuade Intimidate from popping Blastoise's White Herb, and Grimmsnarl for Twave support or a solid physical attacker. Assault Vest made Passimian and Feint seem like a good idea. This presented a problem though as I quickly found out that Psychic Terrain made Prankster Twave and Feint difficult to run. Now the obvious answer is "well I just wont run them at the same time with Indeedee" but thats sort of flawed as my biggest supporter is inneffective paired with 2 reliable hitters. Games change your leading strategy all the time and you need to be prepared for having to change your winning condition strategy on the fly, and to do this you need all your team to synergize as much as possible, eveb Pomemon you dont anticipate to partner up on the field.
