Friend does coding for Game Freak and gave me a lil info.
Nov. 2021 releases is what theyre shooting for but with covid and all a delay could be possible.
G-Max returns (will talk abt mega situation later) Here are some names that got I was told:
-Kyo_Doda (GMax Torterra)
-Kyo_Gouka (GMax Infernape)
-Kyo_Emper (GMax Empoleon)
-Kyo_Floa (GMax Floatzel)
-Kyo_Rento (GMax Luxray)
-Kyo_Muma (GMax Mismagius)
-Kyo_Gabu (GMax Garchomp)
-Kyo_Nendo (GMax Claydol)
-Kyo_Manta (GMax Mantine)
-Kyo_Drami (GMax Dragalge)
There's probably more (Id be surprised if not) From wut I got to see (which is very little) Mantine is battleship/fighter jet theme w/ octillery, Claydol cool alien theme, Empleon is like poesidan (definetly the coolest of what I saw). I got to see a little bit of Infernape's completed render and saw a fire staff like son wukong.
Apparently no regional variants. Not surprised. Friend doesn't know if they return in a DLC later on with a galarian slowpoke situation, since he's working with the main game team, not DLC team. If they were they'd obviously be Gen5 +.
Fantina and Volkner have G-Max 100%, so I assume most will, like S&S. G-max floatzel so C.W. probably will too. Its an arena situation like Galar.
The last thing that I know for sure about is a new pokemon. Its like meltan apparently and connects to a mobile game (my guess is Masters). My friend only saw it in a meeting tho, so no real info. Based off of kodamas.
I asked about story, specifically the legendaries. Didn't get to hear much. Just know its a delta episode situation (like u probably guessed.) Arceus ??? i think so ;)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This is just a little side tangent, but Megas are not returning. Recently megas were announced for Go, so i assume that's how megas are gonna act now. For mobile and not main games
