Just got wrecked twice at the end of Yellow. I might use the box mons I have, but realistically only if I do a rare candy cheat to boost them to reasonable levels for the Elite 4.
Yellow is a surprising game because it was pretty easy throughout, and I guess the end caught me off guard. Without grinding my mons were around level 45, but Lance's Dragonite is level 60! The end certainly did not have enough trainers for exp boosts needed
First Giovanni destroyed the original team:
Charlie the Pikachu, too flimsy but electric is useful and its fun to have the little dude walking around
Abe the Blastoise, that water bulk was nice
Rex the Nidoking, seemed a little flaky
Nina the Nidoqueen, solid, wish there were better moves for it in this gen
Pim the Ninetales, fast and with a great special
Norman the Snorlax, beefy as hell
And then Lance's Dragonite destroyed:
Cezanne the Dewgong, was pleasantly surprised
Aleksander the Charizard, very solid, memories from childhood helps too
Eze the Jolteon, really liked using this mon, fast and hits hard. Wish he had some defense tho
Pal the other Snorlax
