>>38903771Honestly, it doesn't even matter. People will just go back to the Pokemon Centre, or just use potions to keep their Pokemon healthy. Maybe you don't want to spend that Ether and one move you probably won't run out of PP with regardless has slightly less PP.
The battles shouldn't have to rely on whittling you down to be hard. If you can't have challenge with a full, healthy party then what's the point? It probably won't be that much harder with one of your Pokemon fainted. I'm not going to struggle to sweep that Water gym because my Fire type fainted.
People keep complaining about things like getting too many item handouts, getting healed all the time or getting too much EXP when none of that matters if every battle is designed to be piss-easy in the first place. The AI is still shit, the teams still have few Pokemon and the movesets/abilities are still incomplete or lacking. Less tedium is not more challenge.
