My girlfriend and I both love pokemon. It manifested itself as things led up to us dating.
For example, I would jokingly say I was a charming individual. one time she called me out on it and challenged me to prove it. So I got her a premier ball togepi (she has a thing for pokemon in the right ball, like I do) , named it "ImSOCharming", and set its only move to charm. She thought it was adoble.
We started a project together to get a livingdex of all the pokemon in the right balls. We're almost done too, with only a handful of things left to get. It's been fun working on it together.
Honestly I'm way more into the competetive side of things than she is, but I'm glad she shares a love for a game that I do, even if it's for different reasons.
Her favorite pokemon is Heracross. Oh, and she browses /vp/ as well, which is pretty awesome.
